Prof. Dr. Siegfried Gottwald (born 1943 in Limbach, Saxonia) is Chair of Non-classical and Mathematical Logic, Leipzig University.
He graduated mathematics at Leipzig University (Ph. D. 1969) and made his habilitation there in 1977.
His research interests are in the fields of
- Many-valued logic and Fuzzy logic
- Fuzzy sets, Fuzzy relations and Fuzzy control
- History of mathematics and logic
Professor Gottwald is author, coauthor and co-editor of 11 books and about 100 research papers.
